One of my dreams finally came through! A Hokie wedding! As a Virginia Tech grad and a resident of Blacksburg for almost 5 years, I still love coming “home” and to top it all off I was coming to take engagement pictures of a couple I have known since they were tweens. The Muscatello and Beach folks have been like family to me since I was a sophmore in college and started crashing dinner and parties with their daughter Angela who just happens to be Anthony’s big sister. I am honored and grateful that they chose me to photograph their big day. I feel like I hit the jackpot! I get to hang out at a winery with friends AND take pictures? Yes, please! Excited doesn’t even cover it. Can I also add that they are both adorable? JACKPOT.
We met on a super chilly day on VT’s campus at the duck pond. Other than being typically Blacksburg cold, the weather was beautiful.
And of course, my infamous eyelash shot. Seriously guys – it’s a must.
We decided to hit the campus highlights via the Drillfield and I’m so glad we did. This first picture from War Memorial is one of my favorites EVER. I just love the drama and beautiful sun.
We finished up the day on the play ground at the elementary school where they first met and the love story began.
If you can’t resist seeing more, check them out here!
Anthony & Courtney, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your wedding day memories. I am beyond excited if you can’t tell already! Chateau Morrisette here we come!
