I have known this beautiful young lady for several years. I can’t believe Carie is all grown up and graduated! I feel really old right about now.

She has turned into such a respectful, smart and amazing woman. I know her momma and daddy are very proud.

Check out those beautiful eyes! I know she’s got a feller, he better watch his back! I’m sure some of those college guys have their eye on her. (Sorry Daddy Jay)

I was so happy they asked me to shoot some senior pictures for her. I love this family so much and it means the world to me to photograph their special events. They are so precious!

Not to mention it gave me a wonderful excuse to visit my old home of Blacksburg and the campus of my alma mater, Virginia Tech.

I still love those old Hokie stone buildings with beautiful archways and details.

Thank you again, Carie, Jay & Linda for letting me visit with you! I had such a blast!

What happens with a photographer gets bored? She grabs her friends, her camera and makes a flower crown.  Austin & Cory have always been game for a photo shoot and wanted one on Austin’s family farm so we made it happen. The day was very glum and rainy but I think it turned out beautiful anyway. Too bad the mountains were covered with fog or it could have been amazing!

Check out Miss Cory! Isn’t she gorgeous? You better believe I got that eye lash shot! Faces By Ren did an amazing job with her make up.

Thanks, Ren!

These horses behaved just long enough for me to get some pictures! I was so excited!

Little Miss Abby did a great job too. She’s Austin’s fur baby, who, unfortunately, passed away not too long after this photo shoot. I’m so glad I got to meet her.

Here’s Austin’s other baby, the big red truck. He had all 3 of his loves in this photo shoot. He should be a happy man.

The donkeys cracked me up. I just love their ears in this last shot.

I hope you enjoyed our farm adventure! I know we had a blast that day. Thanks for being such good sports, Austin & Cory!

I am sooooo far behind on blogging. I have been such a busy girl that now you’re going to see a whole bunch of blog posts come through in the next few weeks! This first one is long over due. This adorable family won my free photo shoot last year and when it finally came time to do their session everyone was more than excited! I just have to start by saying these little girls were the sweetest, kindest and most respectful young ladies I have come across in a while.

I can’t sing their parents praises enough! I can’t wait to see what beautiful women they will grow to be.

Aren’t they just beautiful? Speaking of beautiful, the lovely Storybrook Farms allowed us to use their property. It was immaculate and stunning as usual! I just love all their gardens and beautiful houses.

I would love to shoot a wedding there someday. I love the land and the people that have always been so welcoming and sweet.

Back to the family, how sweet are they?

Momma and Daddy were just as adorable together as the sisters. I’m so glad they let me take pictures of just the two of them. Every couple needs shots like these on their walls!

And the sisters were so sweet in letting me take their individual pictures as well. At this point, they loved the camera and the camera loved them.

At the end of the session, we found this great little moss covered patio. I think this was my favorite part. The light was beautiful and the moss was soft:)

I am so glad I got to meet this family. They have secured a special little place in my heart. Thank you again for coming along for the adventure and a big thanks to Storybrook for letting us play.

What’s my first thought when one of my best buddies tells me shes engaged? Squeal and start a pinterest page, of course! I filled that puppy with all sorts of ideas for wedding photography and gorgeous DIY for Tracy. She’s one of the craftiest people in my little world so I knew she was going to go a little project crazy and she did not disappoint. She even put me to work a few times and I’m sure she had second thoughts. My crafting history is bleak and disasterous.

Since I was in the wedding, I missed a huge chunk of time in the middle but I got what I could that morning and post-ceremony. Look at all of these beautiful details!

Yes…that is a truck tire ring. I thought it was awesome but I’m not sure Tracy was too excited about it. The groom, Justin, made a request for this ring shot so I was sure to oblige!

After running around like a crazy person all morning, we all settled in for some girlie time. Hair, makeup, shoes and dresses were strewn everywhere.

Here’s some adorable reception moments. We had so much fun – lots of embarassing moments that I’m sure were caught on the game cameras hiding in the corners.
